Mesh Edit

From the main toolbar at the bottom, click Mesh edit to activate the mesh editing tools panel on the left.

1. Trim

1.1 Smart Selection

Unnecessary areas in the scan data are automatically selected. The selected area is highlighted.

  • Range: Use the slider to expand or shrink the selected area.

  • Trim: Deletes the selected area.

1.2 Brush

Use a brush to select areas of the mesh to be trimmed.

  • Selection mode: Switches between mesh selection and deselection modes.

  • Brush size: Adjust the brush size using the slider.

  • Selected area option: Invert or clear the selected area. This option is enabled only when there is a selection.

  • Trim: Deletes the selected area.

1.3 Lasso

In the 3D view, draw a region with the polygon tool to select the area to be deleted.

  • Selection mode: Switches between mesh selection and deselection modes.

  • Selected area option: Invert or clear the selected area. This option is enabled only when there is a selection.

  • Trim: Deletes the selected area.

  • Arch: Select the arch to be trimmed.

Quick Guide

After selecting an arch, only the selected arch will be shown in the 3D viewer.

  • Clear: Deletes the created border line and resets it.

  • Trim: Deletes the selected area.


2. Self-intersections

Used to detect and correct areas where parts of the mesh surface overlap or intersect themselves.

  • Select all: Selects all currently self-intersected areas.

  • Deselect all: Deselects all currently self-intersected areas.

  • Remove: Removes all selected areas.


3. Fill hole

Fills selected holes in the scan data detected by AI. By default, AI automatically detects and selects holes in the scan data. Click on the boundary of a selected hole to deselect it, or click on a deselected hole to select it again.

  • Select all: Selects all currently deselected holes.

  • Deselect all: Deselects all currently selected holes.

  • Fill holes: Fills all selected holes.

Quick Guide

All holes automatically detected by AI are selected. Holes that are not detected cannot be filled.


4. Sculpt

Freely modify the shape of the scan data using brush tools.

4.1 Add

Adds material to the mesh surface.

4.2 Remove

Removes material from the mesh surface.

4.3 Smooth

Smooths the mesh surface.

4.4 Flatten

Flattens the mesh surface.

  • Brush size: Adjusts the size of the brush tool. The current brush radius value is displayed.

  • Strength: Adjusts the strength of the brush effect.

  • Sync brush size to zoom state: Enables or disables synchronization of the brush size with the zoom level in the 3D view. When enabled, the brush size changes according to the zoom level.


5. Revert to original data

Restores all mesh edits (including auto trim) to the original data.
