To change Dentbird Modeler’s design settings, go to Top bar >
> Preference.

1. Color

1.1 Mesh color
Specify the render color for each data type in Dentbird Modeler. This color is shown when the data has no texture or when textures are turned off.
2. Accessibility

2.1 Mesh optimization
Analyzes the uploaded scan data and automatically optimizes it with AI.
2.2 Remove self-intersections
Automatically removes self-intersection areas.
3. Tool
Set default behaviors for the side toolbar. Based on your preferences, tools will open automatically when using Dentbird Modeler. You can open or close tools at any time during the workflow.

4. Quick Setup

4.1 Model type
Choose the default model type for Dentbird Modeler.
Extra die only: An independent tooth model for viewing the abutment.
Contact checking model: A model for checking proximal contacts; includes only adjacent teeth.
Bite checking model: A model for evaluating the occlusal relationship.
Full working model: A model that includes the die, adjacent teeth, and opposing teeth.
4.2 Advanced settings
Configure detailed generation methods based on the selected default model type.
a. Extra die

Die numbering: Always labels the die with the tooth number.
Die height: Adjusts die height; range 10–20 mm, default 13 mm.
b. Contact Checking Model

Select range: Set the inclusion range for adjacent teeth. Options: include 1 adjacent tooth or 2 adjacent teeth.
Base height: Adjusts base height; 10–40 mm (default 18 mm). Choose the base edge style: bevel or curved.
Sturucture: Select how the base is filled: Hollow, Honeycomb, or Solid.
Wall thickness: 2–4 mm (default 2.7 mm).
Option to add drain holes.
Die: Choose the die type: extra die, cutout die, or none.
Extra die: Creates a die independent from the model.
Cutout die: Creates a die that can be detached from and assembled to the base.
None: No separate die is created; the defined abutment ditch width is applied to the model.
Ditch on die: Enabled when cutout die is selected; creates a 0.5 mm groove at the die margin to enhance visibility.
Ditch width: When applied, the model is generated to facilitate checking the fit at the abutment margin; adjustable from 0.1–2 mm.
Label: Adds a label to the model when selected.
c. Bite Checking Model

Select range: Choose whether to generate a partial model or a full-arch model.
Attachment: Set the number of support pins; 1–3 pins (default 2). When attachments are enabled, choose the attachment shape to add.
Base: Adjust base height; 10–40 mm (default 18 mm), and choose the base edge style (bevel or curved).
Structure: Select how the base is filled: Hollow, Honeycomb, or Solid.
Wall thickness: 2–4 mm (default 2.7 mm).
Option to add drain holes.
Die: Choose the die type: extra die, cutout die, or none.

Label: Adds a label to the model when selected.
