1. Base Type

Select the type of base. Dentbird Modeler provides three base types:

1.1 Plateless Type

A model without a base.

1.2 Plate Type

A model with a standard flat base.

1.3 ABO

Follows the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) standard for base design.

Quick Guide

When Plate or ABO is selected, a size slider will be activated at the bottom. Use the slider to adjust the width of the base.

  • Bevel: Trims the edge of the base with a sloped finish.

  • Curved: Connects the edges of the model to the base with a curved contour.

Caution

When Plateless is selected, the Curved option is disabled. Also, enabling Curved increases the lower base width by 1 mm.

2. Height

Adjust the overall height of the model including the base using the slider.

3. Fill Type

Select how the inside of the model will be filled. Dentbird Modeler offers three fill types:

3.1 Hollow

3.2 Hollow (honeycomb)

The inside of the model is filled with a honeycomb structure.

3.3 Solid

The inside of the model is completely filled.

4. Thickness

Adjust the thickness of the base using the slider.

Caution

When Solid fill type is selected, the Thickness setting is disabled.

5. Drain hole

Set the number of drain holes and adjust their positions using the slider.

Quick Guide

Set the number of drain holes and adjust their positions using the slider.

Caution

When Solid fill type is selected, Drain Hole settings are disabled.
