Import Scan Data

Instructions

Step 1

Click Browse to locate files in your file explorer, or drag and drop files directly into the workspace to upload scan data.

Quick Guide

Once one or more files are loaded in the Main Viewer, the AI automatically classifies each data type.

Success

You can also import data directly from the integrated scanner software or from Dentbird Cloud.

Step 2

To modify the dental arch assignment of the scan data, drag the data to the appropriate arch to classify it manually. Open the dropdown in the upper-left corner and select the model type you want to work with. Four model types are available:

• Extra die only

• Contact Checking Model

• Bite Checking Model

• Full Working Model

Step 3

When all files are loaded and there is no unclassified “Undefined” data, click Design to proceed to the model design stage.

Caution

After moving to the design stage, you cannot edit or delete the data loaded in the case.

Warnings

At this stage, the scan data mesh is auto-trimmed and displayed on the 3D canvas.

To use the original mesh shape, in the bottom tool panel select [Mesh Edit] > ‘Revert to original Data’.
