Die

When you click Die on the bottom main toolbar, the Die Editing Tools panel opens on the left.

1. Die

1.1 Add teeth

Click the icon , then click the tooth you want to designate as a die model to add it as a die.

1.2 Die list

Displays a list of tooth labels for die creation. Click a label to edit that tooth. You can also delete a label to remove it from the die list.

2. Border line

Click the corresponding icons to modify the die margin line.

2.1 Edit mode

  • Point mode: Drag points to modify the die margin line.

  • Pen mode: Draw lines to modify the die margin line.

2.2 Clear

Deletes the margin line.

3. Insertion direction

Adjusts the insertion direction of the selected die.

4. Die option

4.1 Die type

  • extra die: Creates a die that is independent from the model.

  • cut out die: Creates a die that can be detached from and assembled to the base.

  • none: Does not create a separate die, but applies the defined abutment ditch width to the model.

Quick Guide

  • Select the Ditch on Die checkbox to turn the die ditching option on or off.

  • [Model Ditch Width] and [Die Gap] are enabled when Ditch on Die is checked.

4.2 Ditch width Adjust the ditch width using the slider. The range is from 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm, and the default value is 0.2 mm. This setting is always active.

4.3 Die numbering When checked, tooth numbers are always labeled on the dies.

4.4 Die height Adjust the die height. It can be set from 10 mm to 20 mm, and the default value is 13 mm.

Quick Guide

  • Preview: Shows a preview of the die to be generated.

  • Apply: Applies all changes.
