Align

Alignment Box

Selection

Source

This denotes the data moving through alignment. Only one mesh can be selected.

Target

This denotes the data targeted to be aligned. A single mesh or CT volume can be selected.

Notice

It is impossible to select the same data in the Source and Target menus. You can deselect and select it elsewhere.

Quick Guide

Source data are always set to target data.

Initial Option

It denotes the initial alignment setting method: AI Upper and AI Lower, which AI aligns automatically; Landmark which users manually align; and None which performs only the fine alignment process in the current state without a specific initial alignment.

Notice

When the AI mode is used, the CT volume must be selected as the Target and the oral scan data to be aligned and the AI Upper mode or AI Lower mode must be selected correctly.

Run

It enters landmark picking mode only when the Initial Option is the Landmark mode. Meanwhile, automatic alignment is performed in other options.

Landmark Picking Mode

You can select a landmark on each data in Source View and Target view.

You can select a previously created landmark to move or delete (Del key).

The preview is updated in real time whenever a landmark is added or modified.

To obtain an accurate alignment result, it is recommended that the corresponding landmarks of source and target be in identical location and order.

You can examine the selected order using the number displayed on the landmark.

Quick Guide

It is recommended to select at least THREE landmarks each and perform fine alignment with the source and target aligned appropriately in the preview.

Manual Adjustment

Control Setting

Set the step value of translation and rotation. Each time user clicks the translation or rotation UI from the 2D view, the target model moves or rotates by the value set by the user.

Notice

You can start Manual Adjustment mode only when the source model is selected.

Cross Section View

It displays the 2D sectional image (axial, coronal and sagittal) in 3D view.

2D Handle

  • Translation: Move the source model using arrow-,sector-,arc-type handle UIs. An accurate value is not displayed when a mesh is moved using handle.

  • Rotate center shift: If you right-click the 2D handle and move it, the source model remains unaltered. The handle moves to change the center of model.

2D Controller

  • Translate: The source model moves in each direction as much as the translation value on the selected slice plane when you click the up, down, left or right arrow buttons.

  • Rotate: The source model rotates in each CW(Clock-Wise) or CCW(Counter-Clock-Wise) direction as much as the rotation value on the selected slice plane when you click the CW or CCW buttons. The rotation is based on the origin of the 2D handle.
