Crown Types

How to design a crown based on the original tooth shape

You can generate a variety of crown types, including AI-designed crowns, as well as copied, mirrored, and pre-op.

Instructions

Step 1

Click the tooth number in the indicator above, after the crown generation process is complete.

Step 2

Select the box below the indicator for the crown type you want to create.

Quick Guide

Mirror as opposite tooth: Copies the tooth on the opposite side of the arch.

Copy as proximal tooth: Only activated in the cases of premolar and molar.

Copy as pre-op: Copies the pre-prep tooth (Pre-op data is required).

Caution

Unavailable cases for each crown type

  • Mirror as opposite tooth: In partial cases where there is no equivalent on the opposite side of the arch or there is no antimere.

  • Copy as proximal tooth: In cases where adjacent premolars or molars are missing.

  • Copy as pre-op: In cases without pre-operation scan data.

Step 2-1

To use 'Copy as pre-op', select the pre-op scan data in the additional scan list, and click the [Select] button to generate the crown.

Step 3

After the redesign is complete, a check mark appears on the selected option. Click the option again, and the crown design will change.

Caution

Dentbird AI's copied or mirrored crown may not be optimal during the current learning phase.
