Crown Design (Implant case)

How to design implant crown

Instructions

Step 1

After loading the data, click the [Crown] button (Go to New Crown Case to see how to upload the data).

Step 2

AI automatically finds and displays the scanbody or abutment and tooth number. (For implant cases, letter 'i' is indicated with the tooth number.)

Step 3

Select the library of the scanbody or abutment.

Step 4

Click the point on the scan data indicated in the guide image on the left to align the library, then click the [Apply] button.

Quick Guide

You can verify the currently selected type of implant at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5

Select the abutment from [Sub type] and select whether to create a screw hole.

Caution

If you create a crown by selecting the 'Screw hole' option, the hole cannot be filled again. If you want to fill the hole, delete the crown and create it again without selecting the option.

Step 6

When you click the [Generate] button at the bottom left, AI generates the optimal crown shape by considering the adjacent and opposing teeth (if the data is available).

Notice

In the implant case, crown creation is possible only when all sub types of the library are selected.

Step 7

Click [Modification] in the upper Process Indicator to modify the shape of the created crown, or click the [Export] button at the bottom left to download the crown file.

Quick Guide

When exporting the designed crown, margin line information (.constructioninfo file) is also extracted for crown processing.

Step 8

Click the [v] mark next to the case name then 'Save and quit' to return to Dentbird Cloud.
