How to design a single crown

Instructions

Step 1

After creating a new case and loading the necessary data, click the [Design] button to enter Dentbird Crown.

Caution

When there are separate die files, they are categorized as 'Undefined'. The user can directly place them to the corresponding arch.

Step 2

AI automatically finds the prepared teeth, tooth number, and margin line.

Caution

The user may need to verify that the detected abutments, tooth numbers, and margin lines are correct. If necessary, the user must manually correct them.

Step 3

If you click the [Generate Crown] button on the bottom left corner, AI will generate the optimal crown shape taking into account proximal and antagonist teeth (if the data is available).

Quick Guide

If there are multiple preps in the scan data, each prep and its corresponding margin line are automatically found, and the crowns are designed at the same time.

Step 4

Click the modification tool at the bottom to edit the crown, or click the [Export] button at the top to save the crown design file.

Caution

The user may need to check the proposed crown design. Manual modifications might be required.

Quick Guide

When saving the designed crown, margin line information (.sci file) is also extracted for crown processing.
