5 auxiliary tools for crown design, 4 sub-processes for mesh modification, and manufacturing feature are provided.

Color Map

: You can turn on/off the color map rendering that illustrates in color the degree of occlusion of upper/lower scan data as well as the distance between the designed crown and adjacent teeth and antagonist teeth.

Caution

For scan data with texture information, the texture will not be visible if Color Map is turned on.

Views

: Offers rendering of scan data and various viewing options, including grids.

1. Texture

If the data in the case has texture information, it can be turned on/off.

2. Wireframe

Wireframe rendering mode of 3D scan data can be turned on/off.

3. Grid

Grid can be turned on/off. It has three options: Off, Display in front of the object, and Display behind the object.

4. Zoom to fit

Resize the scan data to match the dimensions of the work area.

5. 2D Cross section view

Verify the 2D cross-sectional view of the selected crown.

Quick Guide

The 2D cross-section view is activated by clicking on the tooth number after the crown design is completed. Within the cross-section view, you can measure the distance between two points.

Custom views

: Shows the view(s) saved by the user. You can select a view by clicking each button or using the number keys.

Model list

: You can set the rendering properties of the data included in the case.

When you hover the mouse over each tree item, a UI showing the current transparency level appears, which you can change by clicking a specific point or clicking & dragging.

Also, you can choose to turn on/off each item by clicking the blue eye icon at the front of the tree.

Measure

: Measure distances in the 3D Viewer.

Occlusal alignment

: Adjust the occlusion between the upper and lower jaw scan data with greater precision.

Caution

If you change the direction of occlusal alignment, previous changes will be initialized.

Mesh edit

: You can trim unnecessary areas of the scan data or fill holes.

1. Trim

You can use the brush tool to manually select areas of the scan data or use smart selection to automatically trim unnecessary area.

Quick Guide

For "Smart Selection," you can easily adjust the selected unnecessary areas by modifying the range.

2. Fill hole

Automatically detects the holes in the scan data and fills them up.

Quick Guide

By default, all automatically found holes are selected.

3. Sculpt

You can edit the scan data manually.

Virtual extraction

You can virtually extract a tooth from the scan data.

1. Select teeth

In the 3D viewer, the selected teeth are displayed in order and can be deselected.

2. Edit mode

Select the border line modification mode.

3. Restore

Restores the border line.

4. Extract

Extract the selected teeth.

Modification

Modify the virtual crown's position, appearance, and more. This feature is available only in Virtual Crown mode.

Quick Guide

It's the same as modification in crown design, with the exception of inner modifications.

Manufacturing

Export NC files that are compatible with CAM software.
