How to design a dental crown (Natural Tooth)

Instructions

Step 1

Create a new case, load the necessary data, and click the [Design] button to start the design process.

Step 2

AI automatically detects and displays the abutment tooth, tooth notation, and margin line. For modification methods, refer to Margin Line Tool.

Caution

Verify whether the detected abutment tooth, tooth notation, and margin line are accurate. If necessary, manually modify them.

Step 3

Click the [Generate] button in the lower-left corner to create the crown. If data is available, the crown will be generated considering the adjacent and opposing teeth.

Quick Guide

If multiple abutment teeth exist in the scan data, each abutment tooth and margin line are automatically detected. You can select individual abutment teeth to generate crowns separately or create them simultaneously.

Step 4

Modify the generated crown shape if needed, or click the [Export] button at the top to save the crown design. For crown shape modification methods, refer to Modification.

Caution

Thoroughly review the generated crown shape. If necessary, manually adjust it.

Quick Guide

When saving the designed crown, margin line information (in .constructioninfo file format) is also extracted for crown processing.
